Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer

The Candlelight series brings string-quartet performances to venues lit by thousands of candles, and since arriving in Jakarta in February 2026 it has become one of the city's most consistently sold-out live music formats. Soehanna Hall, on the second floor of The Energy Building in SCBD, is its main Jakarta venue — a room built for acoustics rather than volume.

This programme covers Hans Zimmer's film scores, performed by the Marskanskey String Quartet. The tentative set list runs through Time from Inception, This Land from The Lion King, Supermarine from Dunkirk, A Dark Knight, and suites from Wonder Woman, Gladiator, Dune and Pirates of the Caribbean, closing out with Cornfield Chase from Interstellar and Discombobulate from Sherlock Holmes.

Performances run 60 minutes with no interval. Doors open 30 minutes beforehand and late entry is not permitted, which the organisers enforce strictly.

Open to ages 8 and over; under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Seating is assigned first-come, first-served within each zone, so arriving early within your ticket tier is worth it. A second Candlelight programme, The Best of Joe Hisaishi, runs at 9pm the same evening.
