Vivaldi's Four Seasons is the most requested programme in the Candlelight repertoire and the one that has sold out fastest since the series launched in Jakarta. This performance takes place at Soehanna Hall in SCBD, surrounded by thousands of candles.
The Four Seasons is a set of four violin concertos published in 1725, each accompanied by a sonnet describing the season it depicts — birdsong and spring storms, summer heat breaking into thunder, autumn harvest celebrations, and winter's cold. It remains among the most immediately recognisable works in the classical canon, and the intimate quartet arrangement suits a small hall considerably better than a concert stage.
The performance runs approximately 60 minutes with no interval. Doors open half an hour beforehand and late entry is refused.
Ages 8 and up, with under-16s accompanied by an adult. Seating within each zone is first-come, first-served. Candlelight: Tribute to Adele follows at 9pm the same evening at the same venue.
Tickets are sold by the organiser. Prices and availability change without notice.
