Art Jakarta 2026

Art Jakarta is Indonesia's premier contemporary art fair and one of the most significant in Southeast Asia. The 2026 edition brings together 73 galleries from across Asia at JIExpo Kemayoran, alongside presentations by collectives, institutions and community groups.

Running since 2009 — originally as Bazaar Art Jakarta — the fair has built a reputation for backing smaller and more experimental galleries rather than only the established international names. The exhibitor list reflects that: Jakarta, Bandung and Yogyakarta galleries sit alongside spaces from Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh.

Alongside the gallery booths, the fair runs a curated programme of talks and commissioned installations addressing current currents in contemporary art, which is a large part of why Art Jakarta functions as a genuine regional meeting point rather than purely a selling fair.

Schedule: VIP Preview runs Friday 2 October, 1–6pm, followed by the Vernissage from 6–9pm. Public days are Saturday and Sunday, 3–4 October, 11am–8pm.

Tickets go on sale from 17 September 2026, online and at the door. Children 90cm and taller require a ticket, and there are no concession rates for children.
