Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 October 2026

1. About these terms

What's On Jakarta ("we", "us") is a free, independent guide to upcoming public events in Jakarta and Greater Jakarta, run as a small one-person operation based in Jakarta, Indonesia. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What the site is

We list public events such as concerts, festivals, exhibitions, markets, sports and community events, with dates, venues and links to official information and tickets. The guide is free to use and free to be listed in. We are not the organiser of the events we list, unless we say so.

3. Event details can change

Event information comes from organisers and official sources. We work hard to keep it accurate, but dates, times, line-ups, prices and venues can change, and events can be postponed or cancelled at short notice. The organiser's official page is always the authoritative source. Please check with the organiser before you travel, book or buy.

4. Tickets and third-party sites

We don't sell tickets or take payments. Ticket links take you to the organiser or to official third-party sellers such as Loket and tiket.com. Any purchase happens on their site, under their terms, and any questions about tickets, refunds or entry should go to them. We are not responsible for third-party websites, their content or their services, and a link is not an endorsement.

5. Submitting an event

Anyone can suggest an event using the "List your event" form. Listing is free of charge. When you submit an event, you confirm that:

  • you are the organiser or are authorised by them to submit it;
  • the details are accurate and not misleading; and
  • you have the right to share the text and images you send, and they don't infringe anyone else's rights.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, ongoing licence to publish, edit, crop, resize and adapt the text and images you send, on this website and in promoting the guide and the event (for example, sharing a listing on social media).

New listings go live once their details are confirmed against the organiser's own website and channels. We may edit, shorten or reformat a listing, and we may decline or remove any listing at our discretion, without having to give a reason. If something in your listing changes, please let us know through the contact form.

6. Acceptable use

Please use the site lawfully and fairly. You must not:

  • submit false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content, or spam;
  • try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
  • use the site to send malware or harmful code; or
  • use automated tools to bulk-scrape or copy the guide.

7. Using our content

You are welcome to use the site for your own personal use and to share links to our pages and listings with friends, on social media or on your own website. You may not copy, scrape, republish or redistribute the guide, or large parts of it, wholesale, or use it to build a competing listing or database, without our written permission.

8. Intellectual property

The design, layout, our own written content and the selection and arrangement of the guide belong to What's On Jakarta. Event names, logos and images belong to their respective organisers and owners and are used to describe and promote their events.

If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, please tell us through the contact form and we will look into it promptly.

9. Disclaimers

We provide the site free of charge and "as is". While we try to keep it accurate and available, we can't promise that every detail is correct, complete or up to date, or that the site will always be available or error-free. We don't guarantee the quality, safety or running of any event we list.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its information, including losses caused by event changes or cancellations, tickets bought from third parties, or problems with third-party websites. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indonesian law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute relating to them or to the site will be dealt with by the courts of Jakarta.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. By continuing to use the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact us

If you have any questions about these terms, please use the contact form on this website.
