Jakarta Dance Meet Up 2026: Re-Embody

Jakarta Dance Meet Up is the long-running showcase of the Komite Tari (dance committee) of the Dewan Kesenian Jakarta, giving studios, collectives and young companies a stage at Taman Ismail Marzuki. The 2026 edition is titled Re-Embody and runs over two evenings, Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 November, at Teater Wahyu Sihombing.

Tuesday 3 November opens at 7.30pm with speeches, followed from 7.45pm by Rumpi di Bale (Seni Budaya Khatulistiwa), Have(nt/ng)fun (Bogor Dance Studio), The Confusing Journey (Mainstream School of Arts), Senandung Titian (Citra Art Studio) and Toss: Pindah Kelas (Dancevelope). Wednesday 4 November runs from 7.30pm to about 9.05pm with Renghab (EDAS), Cut to Cut (Circle Dance Lab), Akar Samar (Gandrung Dance Studio), Reverso (The Ballet Academy of Indonesia) and Animal Pop Exam (Animal Pop Class Junior).

Entry is free, but seats are booked through the organiser's Loket page, so reserve ahead.

Taman Ismail Marzuki is on Jl. Cikini Raya in Menteng. Cikini KRL station is a short walk away, and TransJakarta buses stop on Jl. Cikini Raya.
