The Indonesia International Pet Expo is the country's largest pet exhibition, filling six halls at ICE BSD City across three days with brands, breed communities, rescue organisations and a great many animals.
The programme mixes commercial and community elements: leading pet food and accessory brands take the main floor, alongside educational showcases on animal care, interactive experiences, breed meet-ups and activities for pets themselves. It functions as much as a community gathering for Jakarta's pet-owning population as it does a trade show.
It makes an easy family weekend outing — children are well catered for, and the halls are large enough that the crowds spread out even at peak times on the Saturday.
Opening hours: 09:00–22:00 across all three days, which is unusually long for an expo and makes an evening visit realistic after work on the Friday.
Getting there: ICE BSD is in Tangerang, well outside central Jakarta — allow over an hour in traffic each way, and considerably more on the Saturday. Tickets are sold through TipTip.
Tickets are sold by the organiser. Prices and availability change without notice.
