Biogas Biomass Bioenergy Biofuels & SAF Asia Summit 2026 – Indonesia Focus

Why Indonesia’s Biogas Market Is Worth Watching

Indonesia has a large base of palm oil mills and agro-industrial facilities, creating significant opportunities for converting POME and other organic waste streams into renewable energy and higher-value products.

The market is moving beyond conventional biogas-to-power applications toward:

• POME-to-Biogas and Biogas-to-Power projects
• Biogas upgrading to Biomethane / Bio-CNG
• Methane recovery and emission reduction
• CHP applications for industrial energy supply
• Biomethane injection and green gas infrastructure
• Organic waste-to-energy and circular economy projects
• Biofertilizer and value-added by-products
• Carbon credit opportunities from methane avoidance and renewable energy projects

These developments create opportunities not only for project owners, but also for biogas upgrading companies, membrane and gas purification technology providers,

compressors, gas engines, CHP suppliers, EPC contractors, engineering companies, investors and project developers.

Key Biogas & Biomethane Topics at the Summit

The programme will include practical discussions around:

• Development of Bio-Methane / Bio-CNG Production from POME and Agro-Industrial Waste

• Building a Green Gas Network: Injecting Palm Oil Waste-derived Bio-CNG into National Pipeline Infrastructure

• CNG Pilot Projects in Indonesia: Biomethane Injection Hubs for Industrial Decarbonization

• Methane Biogas Production in Indonesia – Challenges, Opportunities and Future Development

• Applications of Combined Heat & Power (CHP) in the Indonesian Industrial Sector

• Challenges in the Construction and Sustainable Operation of Biogas Plants

• Circular Economy in Agriculture: Waste-to-Energy + Fertilizer By-products

• Unlocking Revenue and Sustainability: Biogas & Biomass for Carbon Credit Opportunities

The objective is not only to discuss technology, but to connect technology providers with actual project owners, developers, investors and industrial energy users looking for commercially viable solutions.

Who Will You Meet?

The Summit is designed to connect companies across the complete biogas project value chain, including:

Palm Oil Mills & POME Project Owners | Biogas & Biomethane Developers | IPPs & Renewable Energy Developers |

EPC Contractors | Biogas Upgrading & Gas Treatment Technology Providers | CHP & Gas Engine Suppliers |

Wastewater & Anaerobic Digestion Companies | Investors & Financiers | Energy & Utility Companies | Government & Policymakers

This makes the event particularly relevant if your company is looking to:

→ Identify new Indonesian biogas / biomethane projects
→ Meet POME and industrial wastewater project owners
→ Develop partnerships with local EPCs and developers
→ Introduce biogas upgrading, Bio-CNG or CHP technologies
→ Explore biomethane and green gas opportunities
→ Identify investment or project development opportunities
→ Build business relationships in Indonesia and the wider ASEAN market
