ICAD 2026: Indonesian Contemporary Art and Design 16 – Being: Becoming

Indonesian Contemporary Art & Design (ICAD) returns to Grandkemang Hotel in Kemang, South Jakarta, for its 16th edition from 8 October to 8 November 2026. Founded in 2009, ICAD is an annual festival where art and design meet, with works spread through the hotel's public spaces.

This year's theme, "Being: Becoming", looks at present human conditions set against possible futures. Expect contemporary art, design, interactive installations and a public programme drawing on disciplines from architecture and fashion to film and technology.

Entry: press reports give admission as free. The festival is also listed on the government's EKRAF Hub agenda, which asks visitors to register with an EKRAF account and gives opening hours of 07:00–17:00 daily; check ICAD's own channels for evening programmes.

Grandkemang Hotel is at the northern end of Jl. Kemang Raya. There is no MRT station in Kemang, so a taxi or ride-hailing is the easiest way to get there.
